Thanks for Women’s March on Seattle coverage | Letter

Great article and pics of the Women’s March in Seattle. This was truly a historic event that spanned seven continents and included millions of people. After marching on Washington, D.C. as well as New York City, I was not expecting Seattle to rival my older experiences. However it rated right up there!

We are so lucky to live where we do. The diversity enriches our lives. My daughters can proudly say they are on the right side of history when it all goes down in the textbooks.

It is was such an extraordinary event that museums around the world are asking for people to donate their signs if they still have them for future exhibitions!

So even though we are entering a dark era of hate, greed and divisiveness with the Trump administration, there is that proverbial light at the end of the four-year tunnel. Joining those grassroots organizations that protect the environment, support our public schools, provide affordable health care and are basically inclusive versus exclusive will make our country the great republic we once were.
