Bicycle Safety Day slated for May 17

The 6th Annual Bicycle Safety Day will be held Saturday, May 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Eastside Life Chiropractic, 2032 148th Ave. NE, in the Overlake Plaza.
Dr. Eric Hansen, who organized the event six years ago, along with volunteers will hand out hundreds of bicycle helmets for children of all ages.
“We do not hand out helmets that are not properly fitted,” Hansen said. “We also give out a child safety packet that records vital information on the children and can be helpful in emergencies.”
Coffee and an assortment of pastries will also be available for those attend the event.
