Redmond resident Keith Beggs edges the lawn in the preschool play area during the Friday, Sept. 11 Day of Caring cleanup at Encompass, a children’s services organization in North Bend.

Beggs was one of 26 Microsoft staff who spent the day at Encompass trimming hedges, painting rooms and tackling a myriad of other projects.

The Day of Caring is organized by United Way.
