The City of Redmond is currently recruiting for this year’s Redmond Lights to be held Dec. 3.
Help is needed with kids’ activities, event support, set up and tear down.
“Helping the community celebrate the beginning of the holiday season is a great way to meet your neighbors and provides health benefits,” said volunteer coordinator Florence Wong. “Studies show volunteering increases self esteem, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress on the body and even bolsters the immune system.”
Volunteering is vital for Redmond’s community events to be successful. In fact, without volunteers, Redmond community events could not happen at all. Events such as Redmond Lights rely on the talents of hundreds of volunteers of all ages.
