Overlake’s Natha serves as page in state Senate

During the week of March 25, Zain Natha served as a Senate page at the state Capitol in Olympia.

Lt. Gov. Brad Owen sponsored Natha, a sophomore at Overlake School in Redmond. “Zane is extremely intelligent and has a rare international perspective on politics. I hope this experience assists her in her future ambitions.” Owen said.

Natha heard of the program through a family friend whose daughter had also been a page.

“The way the media portrays government and politics is really different from the way I see it now,” said Natha. The page program has transformed her view of politics.

Natha is currently a member of a club that is fund-raising for a water-well in Bangladesh.
