Evergreen librarian recognized for keeping hungry kids fed

Shauna Yusko, the librarian at Evergreen Middle School (EMS) was honored by the Center for Ethical Leadership with its 2013 Leadership Legacy Award during the organization’s 8th Annual Legacy Event last month.

In addition to her role at EMS, Yusko is the director of Pantry Packs, a program that ensures students do not go hungry on the weekends or during school breaks.

The Leadership Legacy Award celebrates Puget Sound individuals or groups whose vision, leadership and commitment advance the common good in local communities.
