STEM High School students were recently recognized as a 2013 Best in State Winner in the Verizon Innovative App Challenge.

The App, called “All Things STEM,” was designed by freshmen Allison Clark, Madison Forsmann, Marissa Loya, Prajwala Mantha, Hena Matthias and Claudia Nguyen.

The challenge provides the opportunity for middle school and high school students, working with a faculty adviser, to use their STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) knowledge, ingenuity and creativity to come up with an original mobile app concept that incorporates STEM and addresses a need or problem in their school or community.
