Pierre Folrev of Folrev Photography in Redmond is teaming up with Roos Orthodontics in Redmond to host a “Celebration of Smiles Day” on Saturday.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment only, at Roos Orthodontics at 16150 N.E. 85th St. downtown.

“Celebration of Smiles” is part of a national effort to raise money to treat children around the world with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. For a donation of $24 (plus taxes fees), people will receive a portrait mini-session and a 5×7 portrait. Folrev is participating alongside other members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA). PPA will donate 100 percent of the donations from tomorrow’s sessions to Operation Smile.

Operation Smile is an organization with more than 5,000 volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and specialized health care professionals, perform free reconstructive surgeries for children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. The $24 donation for tomorrow’s sessions represents one-tenth of the $240 needed to help fund a single surgery.
