This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Redmond Historical Society’s Old Redmond Historic Walking Tours.
The remaining tours will be held May 19 and June 16, from 1-2:30 p.m. The society’s haunted history tour on Sept. 15 will be held in the evening.
Historian Tom Hitzroth will be the tour guide, sharing stories, gossip and names of Redmond’s early history.
Tours begin on the front steps of the Justice White House, 7730 Leary Way N.E., at the west end of Redmond Town Center where the Redmond Saturday Market is held. The suggested donation of $10 benefits the Redmond Historical Society and is payable by credit card on their website at www.redmondhistoricalsociety.org. Donors can also mail a check to the office at 16600 NE 80 Street, Room 106, Redmond, WA. 98052. Registration is required by the Friday before the tour.
Tours include a significant amount of walking and standing, with limited opportunity for resting. Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. A tour will not be held if it rains.
