Officers investigate multiple fraud reports | Police blotter for April 19-21

The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Sunday, April 21

Warrant: A known male at Avondale Road and Union Hill Road downtown was arrested for a felony warrant at 11:20 p.m.

Grand theft auto: Officers responded to an automobile theft report from the 10800 block of 164th Place Northeast on Education Hill at 8:08 a.m.

Malicious mischief: Redmond Police responded to a reported malicious mischief from the 11400 block of Avondale Road on Education Hill at 3:57 a.m.

Shoplifting: Redmond police responded to a reported shoplifting at 12:27 a.m. from a business in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill. The suspect was later arrested.

Saturday, April 20

Credit card fraud: At 4:06 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report of credit card fraud in the 8700 block of 160th Avenue Northeast on Education Hill after the theft of a purse from a vehicle. The case is currently under investigation. At 5:39 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report of credit card theft from the 5400 block of 159th Place Northeast in Grass Lawn. The fraud occurred by identity theft, the actual credit card did not leave the victim’s possession. No suspect information is available at this time.

One drink too many: At 2:47 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a serial alcohol thief from the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill. No suspect information is known at this time but the suspect can be identified.

Friday, April 19

Thefts: Redmond police responded to two theft reports from Overlake. The first came from a business in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast at 1:34 p.m. The second reported theft came at 3:14 p.m. from a business in the 15100 block of Northeast 24th Street.

Fraud: Redmond police responded to two fraud reports from Education Hill. The first came at 11:16 a.m. from the 17700 block of Northeast 90th Street. A fraudulent purchase was made online. The second report came at 12:54 p.m. A resident in the 17300 block of Northeast 85th Place reported check fraud from a personal account.

Located missing person: Redmond police responded to a returned missing woman from the 10000 block of 168th Place Northeast on Education Hill at 8:59 a.m.
