Officers investigate shoplifting reports in downtown and Overlake | Police blotter for April 30

The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Tuesday, April 30

Warrant: Redmond police arrested a resident in the 18200 block of Northeast 92nd Street on Education Hill for outstanding warrants, while investigating a verbal domestic disturbance at 10:33 p.m.

Shoplifting: Redmond police investigated three shoplifting reports. The first came at 3:09 p.m. from Overlake. A male was arrested. The second came from downtown at 4:36 p.m. The case is under investigation. At 8:12 p.m., police arrested a female for shoplifting in Overlake.

Vandalism: At 6:54 p.m., Redmond police took a report of malicious mischief in which a vehicle in the 17400 block of Northeast 28th Street in Overlake was damaged sometime during the night.

Vehicle prowl: At 5:42 p.m., Redmond police responded to a vehicle prowl report at a business in the 6500 block of East Lake Sammamsih Parkway downtown. There are no suspects at this time.

Fraud: At 6:57 a.m., an attempt was made to use a cancelled credit card fraudulently. At 11:56 a.m., a resident in the 13200 block of Northeast 108th Street in Grass Lawn had their social security information used in an attempt to be defrauded.
