Officers investigate reckless driving, hit and run and DUIs in Overlake and downtown | Police blotter for June 21-23

Sunday, June 23

Vehicle prowls: Officers responded to two vehicle prowl reports from Overlake. The first came at 2:35 p.m. and the second came at 6:35 p.m.

Theft: Redmond police responded to a report of a possible theft at 6:19 p.m. from the 4800 block of 156th Avenue Northeast in Overlake. There are no suspects at this time.

Suspicious circumstance: At 4:11 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a suspicious person in a residence in the 7000 block of 132nd Avenue Northeast in Grass Lawn.

Shoplifting: Alcohol was taken from a supermarket in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill at 9:10 a.m.

Saturday, June 22

DUIs: A male was arrested for driving under the influence at 9:33 p.m. in the 13000 block of Northeast 85th Street. A female driver was placed into custody at 10:13 p.m. for investigation of driving under the influence after colliding with a light pole in the 15000 block of Northeast 20th Street in Overlake.

Malicious mischief: Redmond police responded to a malicious mischief report at 7:15 p.m. from a residence in the 17000 block of Northeast 98th Court on Education Hill. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft: Redmond police investigated the theft of property at 6:50 p.m. from a boat parked in front of a house in the 15700 block of Northeast 56th Way in Grass Lawn. No suspect information is available at this time.

Vandalism: Redmond police responded to the report of a broken car window at 4:59 p.m. from a residence in the 9600 block of 175th Place Northeast. No property was taken.

Burglary: At 2:52 p.m., Redmond police responded to the report of a residential burglary from the 16200 block of Northeast 100th Street on Education Hill. The suspect entered through an unlocked kitchen window.

Friday, June 21

Reckless driving: A report was taken for reckless driving at 11:48 p.m. from the 17200 block of Northeast 45th Street in Overlake and charges were filed through the investigation.

Hit and run: Redmond police responded to the report of a hit and run involving a city light pole in the 7800 block of Leary Way downtown at 4:05 p.m.
