Open house for SE Redmond neighborhood plan update set for July 18

Published 1:43 pm Monday, July 8, 2013

An open house for the Southeast Redmond neighborhood plan update is set for July 18 at Fire Station 16 at 6502 185th Ave. N.E.

The event will be from 5-7 p.m.

This is one of several opportunities for those with an interest in the neighborhood to learn about and influence the neighborhood plan update that is currently underway.

Attendees to the drop-in event will be able to review and comment on draft alternatives regarding the future of the neighborhood. Draft alternatives address questions such as: What kinds of land uses should surround the future light rail station? What changes, including zoning changes, should be implemented to protect both quality of life for residents and economic opportunity for manufacturing and industrial uses? Neighborhood input at this point in the process will help the Southeast Redmond Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) as it develops a preferred alternative.

This fall the Southeast Redmond Citizen Advisory Committee will make a recommendation for updating the Southeast Redmond Neighborhood Plan. The recommendation may include changes to land use and zoning designations, transportation plans, and other long range plans. Your input now is critical.

For those who cannot attend, materials and a questionnaire will be available online following the open house at www.redmond.gov/seredmond. For more information contact Kimberly Dietz (425) 556-2415, kdietz@redmond.gov) or Jeff Churchill (425) 556-2492, jchurchill@redmond.gov.
