Redmond High graduate receives U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship

Redmond’s Leila Elkhafaifi is one of approximately 610 U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who received a scholarship from the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship Program in 2013.

The 2011 Redmond High School graduate, who studies international relations at American University in Washington, DC, is focusing on the Arabic language at a university in Oman this summer.
