Evergreen Family Theatre will present its 2nd Stage Youth cast in “Prince Ugly,” opening Aug. 15 for two performances.

Friday’s showtime is 7 p.m. and Saturday’s is 5 p.m. at Redwood Family Church, 11500 Redmond-Woodinville Road, Redmond. Pay-what-you-can tickets at the door.

Prince William Xavier Hopkirk the Third is under an evil curse. He is the ugliest child in the entire Kingdom — so ugly that children run from his face. There is only one way he can break the spell: he must make one true friend. Only it’s not so easy to make a real friend when children run from you — or if they don’t it’s only because the King has offered a reward to anyone who will be his friend. A real friend is someone you truly care about.  More than you care about yourself. How will Prince Ugly (as everyone — even his parents — call him sometimes) learn the true meaning of friendship?
