UPDATE: Harris family dog found, died from injuries from crash

UPDATE:
The Harris family’s dog Jake, a wirehaired Griffon, was found today in heavy brush in the area near the fatal car crash on Aug. 24 that claimed the lives of Steven Harris and Taylor Griffith.
Since the crash, law enforcement, family and friends had been out searching for the dog.
Jake was located by retired Redmond Assistant Police Chief Larry Gainer and retired Redmond Police Commander Terry Morgan, along with Morgan’s wife Kim.
According to the Redmond Police Department, the dog had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Jake was taken to a local veterinary clinic pending further direction by the Harris family.

The Harris family indicated their dog Jake, a wirehaired Griffon, was in the vehicle at the time of the fatal car crash on Aug. 24 that claimed the lives of Steven Harris and Taylor Griffith. The dog remains missing and it is not known if he suffered injuries during the crash on Redmond-Fall City Road and 244th Avenue Northeast.
Washington State Patrol canvassed the crash area and advised neighbors that the dog may be in the area.
