The Overlake School will be hosting the Eastside FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) League this season this month and next.
FTC is a robotics competition in which teams of students from 9-12th grades create robots based on sound engineering principles to perform various actions. As part of the challenge, the students are limited in building materials and constrained in size. The students design, build and program the robots to compete in an alliance format against other student teams.
About 18 teams from area public and private schools will be competing at Overlake during on Nov. 23 and Dec. 14. Both competitions are at noon.
