VALA Eastside announced that resident artist, Vikram Madan, has completed his mural titled “Imagination Northwest!” which is sponsored by Redmond Town Center. The mural has been installed near the fountains in Redmond Town Center’s Center Court.

The “Imagination Northwest!” art dedication will take place from 3-5 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the VALA Art Center & Studios. Admission is free ($5 suggested donation) and there will be light appetizers.

Madan’s residency at VALA Art Center & Studios, located next door to Z Gallerie in Redmond Town Center, took place during the last quarter of 2014. At Redmond Town Center’s “GoodFest” event last September, Madan invited children to submit drawings of imaginary creatures. He then recreated a subset of those submissions in his mural as part of an “Imagined Northwest Landscape.”

“I was delighted to see all the wonderful creatures our community kids dreamed up for this project and had a great time bringing their drawings to life. I hope kids, families and Redmond Town Center visitors will be able to enjoy this artwork for a long time. Many thanks to Redmond Town Center for sponsoring this project and to VALA Eastside for facilitating it,” said Madan.
