Redmond fastpitch wins again, will face Inglemoor tonight for spot to state

Redmond fastpitch rolled to another win by a 7-4 count over Issaquah last night in a 4A Kingco Tournament elimination game.

The Mustangs (10-12) will play Inglemoor (15-7) at 5 p.m. tonight at Inglemoor High for the second spot to state. Woodinville beat Inglemoor, 8-2, last night for the league title.

Against Issaquah, Redmond amassed 12 hits, including three from Tatyanna Forbes (including a double) and two each from Kaija Gibson, Sawyer Forseth and Lauren Mars.

Pitcher Sophia Viola earned the complete-game victory.

Redmond led 5-0 after four innings (including three runs to start the first inning) and held a 6-1 advantage after five innings.
