Transportation for Washington endorses Marchione for mayor

Transportation for Washington announced that it has endorsed John Marchione for mayor of Redmond.

In its endorsement, Transportation for Washington states, “Marchione is a tireless regional advocate for transit. Through the lens of congestion mitigation, meeting the region’s growth needs, and economic development he deeply values transit. As a Sound Transit board member and PSRC President, he puts his action where his values lie. He’s a great advocate for East King county and Redmond and with Sound Transit 3.”

“I am pleased to earn Transportation for Washington’s endorsement,” said Marchione. “Redmond has 83,000 employees and 59,000 residents. We must be involved in regional transportation in order to solve our challenges at home.”

To date, Marchione has been endorsed by the Affordable Housing Council, Seattle-King County Realtors, Eastside Business Alliance and the Seattle Times.
