Saturday, Aug. 15
Theft: Redmond police investigated a car prowl at 3:51 p.m. in the 2700 block of 174th Avenue Northeast. The owner was gone, but a family member noticed the door was ajar and it appeared someone had rifled through the glove box.
Theft: A resident called Redmond police at 12:10 p.m. to report a phone that had been left at a movie theater (8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast) two days prior and he believed someone took it from the seat.
Friday, Aug. 14
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 6:46 p.m. at the Redmond Library in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street. The caller reported that someone stole their backpack while they were using a computer. The backpack contained a wallet and a cell phone.
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 1:36 p.m. in the 7300 block of 170th Avenue Northeast. The caller reported that a cell phone was stolen from a fitness facility a few days prior and was located in Renton.
Thursday, Aug. 13
Forgery: Redmond police took a forgery report at 3:33 p.m. in the 2400 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. The incident, involving stolen checks, happened a few weeks prior.
Vandalism: Redmond police received a report at 12:23 p.m. of a vehicle being keyed while parked in the Bear Creek park and ride in the 7700 block of 178th Place Northeast. During a drive through of the area, no other cars appeared to be keyed.
Wednesday, Aug. 12
Burglaries: Redmond police took four residential-burglary reports on this day.
• At 5:25 p.m., it was reported that a home was broken into, possibly through a window, in the 9300 block of Avondale Road. Miscellaneous jewelry was stolen.
• At 5:16 p.m., the owner, who was away during the day, reported that they returned home to find the front door broken open in the 9000 block of Avondale Road. Electronics, jewelry and coins were taken.
• At 12:56 p.m., it was reported that the owner’s neighbor noticed the sliding glass door was open in the 18100 block of Northeast 95th Street. Several watches, cash and jewelry were stolen.
• At 12:26 p.m., the owner, who was away for a few days, reported that they returned home to find the front door of their residence pried open in the 17700 block of Northeast 90th Street. Several miscellaneous items were taken.
