Evergreen Family Theatre will present “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.” on Aug. 9-10 in Woodinville.
This poignant, humorous story tells of Tevye the dairyman’s struggle to preserve cultural traditions in a rapidly changing world.
The book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick weave a rich historical tapestry. That tapestry is highlighted by memorable songs such as “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”
The original 1964 Broadway production won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Fiddler on the Roof, Jr. opens at 7 p.m. Aug. 9 and at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at Leota Jr. High Theatre, 19301 168th Ave. NE, Woodinville.
Tickets are $9 at the door.
