Baseball tournament in honor of Jackson Roos set for this weekend

This weekend, Redmond North Little League (RNLL) will hold the Jackson Roos Memorial Weekend Tournament at Hartman Park at 17300 N.E. 104th St. in Redmond.

The weekend will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday with pool play games, which will take place on Sunday as well.

There will also be a dedication ceremony in honor of Jackson Roos, a 12-year-old boy who died in a zip-lining accident in September 2012 at his family’s home near Redmond. The weekend will also raise money for a Jackson Roos Scholarship Fund.

The single-elimination tournament will conclude at 2:30 p.m. on Monday with the championship game. Majors Division District 9 Little League teams will be playing in pool play games for seedings, before the single-elimination tournament bracket for the championship.
