The Overlake School boys’ basketball team defeated Charles Wright Academy on Wednesday night to win their own Shot in the Dark basketball tournament, 64-54, in the school gym.

In the championship game, the Owls were down three heading into the fourth quarter, when a fine defensive effort held the Tarriers to just six points and enabled the Owls to pull ahead.

“It was a total team effort tonight,” said head coach Justin Prohn. “I’m just really proud of how the players responded and played.”

For Overlake (1-2, 4-4), Dean Poplawski led with a game-high 19, followed by Daniel Johnson’s 17 and Cameron Lui with 11.
