The City of Redmond’s premier event, Derby Days, is just around the corner on July 12-13 and volunteers of all ages are needed to help things run smoothly.

“Without volunteers, important community events like Redmond Derby Days would not be possible,” said Lisa Rhodes, City of Redmond events and marketing administrator.

The city is seeking volunteers for various duties throughout the event to help with kids activities, booth and event support, set up or tear down following the fireworks finale and more.

“This is a great way to get involved, help the community, enjoy the sunshine, meet new friends and score a fun, free T-shirt,” said Rhodes.

The 73rd annual Derby Days will begin at 5 p.m. on July 12 and end at 11 p.m. on July 13 at the City Hall campus (15670 N.E. 85th St.) and will feature a 5K, bike criterium, fireworks, beer and wine garden, activities for all ages, parades, live music and a carnival.
