The Redmond Ridge and Redmond Ridge East communities will come together to celebrate Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, from 4-9 p.m. tomorrow at Rosa Parks Elementary School, 22845 N.E. Cedar Park Crescent. Sen. Andy Hill will be the chief guest at this year’s event.

The event — which usually has more than 500 attendees — will feature dance and music performances by community residents, fireworks for children, decorations reflecting on the significance of the festival and Indian culture, raffles, door prizes and a sumptuous Indian buffet dinner. The event will also offer local businesses an opportunity to engage with the Indian community in the area.
