Redmond athletes compete at districts; state is next | Track and Field

Redmond High’s Johnathan Stevens was the long Mustang winner at the recent 4A Bi-District Meet at Lake Stevens High.

He took first in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 16.44 seconds. He took second in the 3,200 in 9:10.00.

Boys

100 meters: Alex Binkerd, second, 10.97

200 meters: Binkerd, third, 22.51

4×100 relay: Binkerd, Riley Harris, Sean Yang and Jordan Hall, fifth, 43.68

Girls

100 meters: Maria Eckmann, sixth, 12.65

200 meters: Eckmann, eighth, 26.46

400 meters: Mandy Rusch, sixth, 58.35

1,600 meters: Kelsey Dunn, 12th, 5:19.76

3,200 meters: Dunn, fifth, 11:11.48; Megan LeGresley, eighth, 11:25.22

4×100 relay: Amira Douglas, Carson Potter, Rusch and Eckmann, fourth, 49.61 (they set a Redmond High school record with a 49.49 in prelims)

Shot put: Suzi French, sixth, 34-6.25

Javelin: French, 14th, 95-3

High jump: Aliyah Steiner, fourth, 5-0

Long jump: Steiner, 11th, 15-8

Triple jump: Steiner, ninth, 33-11.75

The state meet is Thursday-Saturday at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.

Redmond qualifiers:

Stevens — 1,600 and 3,200

Binkerd — 100, 200 and 4×100 relay (with Harris, Yang and Hall)

Dunn — 3,200

Steiner — high jump

Girls 4×100 relay (Douglas, Potter, Rusch and Eckmann)
