Man booked into jail for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest

Redmond police investigated an assault at 9:32 p.m. on Tuesday in the 16200 block of Northeast 87th Street.

Redmond police investigated an assault at 9:32 p.m. on Tuesday in the 16200 block of Northeast 87th Street.

Officers spoke with a night security guard, who stated he was assaulted by an adult male who was sleeping on the property. The victim stated the suspect punched him and fled the area.

The suspect was located nearby, and when contacted by officers, was verbally abusive and attempted to assault officers. He was taken into custody for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest and booked into jail.
