Looking for a feline adventure for your family this summer? Homeward Pet Adoption Center is screening Walker Art Center’s official Internet Cat Video Festival at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday in its outdoor parking lot theater (13132 N.E. 177th Place in Woodinville).
Presented by VCA Sno-Wood Animal Hospital, this “purr-fectly” entertaining event includes 75 minutes of hilarious, ridiculous, cute, cuddly, sweet and silly “A-CAT-emy Award” winning videos with a visit from special guest Will Braden, head of Internet Cat Video Festival and filmmaker behind “Henri, le Chat Noir,” the world’s first feline philosopher.
Donations of $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under will benefit the Homeward Pet cats and kittens during this busy kitten season. Bring a bag of cat/kitten food or three cans of cat food and receive a free drink and bag of popcorn. Beverages and popcorn will also be available for sale.
Homeward Pet Adoption Center is one of the leading nonprofit, no-kill animal shelters serving the greater Seattle area since 1990. They give homeless animals a second chance at life and love and have matched more than 22,800 companion animals with loving, safe, forever families. Forty percent of the animals at Homeward Pet are surrendered by their former owners; the other 60 percent are rescued from shelters that are often forced to euthanize. While the animals in the shelter wait to be adopted, more than 350 volunteers make sure their basic needs are met and give them plenty of love and attention.
