DigiPen Institute of Technology to host Audio Symposium on May 11

DigiPen Institute of Technology will present the inaugural Audio Symposium at 1 p.m. on May 11 at 9931 Willows Road N.E., Redmond.

DigiPen Institute of Technology will present the inaugural Audio Symposium at 1 p.m. on May 11 at 9931 Willows Road N.E., Redmond.

Sponsored in conjunction with the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), the event will include speakers who will present a mix of topics including sound engineering research, interactive music and game audio.

Event speakers and schedule for the day includes:

• 1-1:40 p.m. – Peter Driessen – “Rendering Sound and Images Together”

• 1:45-2:10 p.m. – Randy Jones – “The Soundplane”

• 2:15-2:40 p.m. – Andy Schloss – “The Radiodrum and Robotics”

• 3-3:40 p.m. – David Javelosa – “Interactive Music Composition”

• 3:45-4:10 p.m. – Alistair Hirst – “A Sound Designer’s Toolbox”

• 4:15-5 p.m. – Brian Schmidt – “When It’s Only Sound: Creating an Audio-Only ‘Video’ Game”
