Redmond-based Physio-Control introduced its refurbished product program, “RELI,” today at EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Expo 2010.

The RELI (Refurbished Equipment from the Lifesaving Innovators) program “provides customers in the market with reliable, refurbished lifesaving devices with a trusted source because Physio-Control is better equipped than anyone in the industry to refurbish its own equipment,” said Erik Denny, communications program manager for Physio-Control.

Denny said each device is treated to rigorous review and testing before it can be considered part of RELI. The process includes:

• A thorough analysis of its service history and required service updates

• Device decontamination and parts replacement where needed

• Device calibration and testing, using the same standards for new devices

Lastly, the purchased product is backed by a one-year warranty, technical support and field service from Physio-Control, Denny noted.

Cam Pollock, vice president of global marketing for Physio-Control commented, “We know we’re not the only company to offer previously owned equipment. Our exclusive training, service history of each device and knowledge of design improvements means that no one can ensure the quality, reliability and safety of refurbished Physio-Control products like we can.”

Currently, the LIFEPAK 12 defibrillator/monitor, in a variety of configurations, is available through RELI.
