Founded during the tech recession, Protingent in Redmond recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Protingent continues to evolve and provide relevant work opportunities for employees and specialized, highly skilled contingent engineering staff for clients.

“We began like any other small business, full of enthusiasm and a vision for change in the staffing industry,” said Protingent founder and President, Donn Harvey. “Protingent has always believed that engineers and the engineering profession are critical components in the advancements of new ideas and solutions to complex problems in our world. Throughout the years, we have evolved and come to understand the best ways to support this endeavor.”

Protingent grew out of the tech recession in 2002 by focusing on core market segments and the company’s guiding principles.

“Protingent has shown the ability to prosper during periods of economic growth and a resiliency in difficult times when similar companies struggled to survive,” said Harvey. “Our focus on technology staffing, creating loyal customers, acting with integrity at all times and building trust and cooperation between coworkers are a sample of the principles that have helped mold Protingent into the business it is today.”

Protingent now has offices in Washington, Oregon, northern and southern California, Texas and Pennsylvania and has employed more than 1,300 contingent workers.

Protingent Vice President Tim Bruce said, “For 10 years now, many of the nation’s most successful technology companies have turned to Protingent for engineering support across all phases of the product development cycle. Protingent employees recognize that cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and candidates makes the difference in the staffing industry. For a service organization, longterm relationships that create noteworthy positive change for our clients and candidates are the true measures of success.”

Protingent looks to the future with the main goal of remaining true to its core values and maintaining its focus on technology staffing.

“Our growth will come from continuing to expand our proven business model to major tech centric metropolitan areas which will allow us to better support our current clients and leverage this experience to help our future client’s success. We are excited for the bright future of Protingent and what the next 10 years will bring,” said Harvey.
