Feeling safe and enjoying parks and trails | Letter

As a longtime resident of Redmond, I have enjoyed living in a city where I feel safe and can enjoy the parks and trails year-round. This is why I am voting "yes" on props 1 and 2 to keep our community safe and our parks and trails maintained.

As a longtime resident of Redmond, I have enjoyed living in a city where I feel safe and can enjoy the parks and trails year-round. This is why I am voting “yes” on props 1 and 2 to keep our community safe and our parks and trails maintained.

I enjoy spending time in our parks, playing tennis, walking the trails with my dog and attending numerous softball and soccer games. And I appreciate how well the trails and parks are kept clean and safe. I don’t want to see that go downhill. I’m sure that in our growing city, some of our newer neighbors want to have a park for their families near their homes, too, like I have had for many years. Based on the information on the city’s web page, I think for the cost of a small investment, we will get a great value for our city.

There has been an increase in robberies and car prowls lately and our police force has been working hard to provide security to our community. The longer I live here, the more I notice that the sidewalks are cracked and broken and some of the streets need to be paved. They all looked so new 25 years ago.

Please join me and vote “yes” on props 1 and 2. Help keep Redmond a place that we can all be proud of for years to come.
