It is not even Christmas, and the Redmond Firefighters Union has already made mine complete!
(On a recent night) I was babysitting my 18-month-old grandson when we heard a commotion outside. I opened the door, and there in all its glory was a fire truck tricked out with Christmas lights and playing Christmas music. I have a lot of kids and grandkids but I don’t think I ever saw one with their mouth dropped open before! Santa and his elf saw us, ran up and gave my grandson a candy cane and off they went!
My grandson excitedly “told” the story: hat, mittens, “vroom vroom” with lots of running to the window for about 10 minutes and then repeated it when my husband and his sister came home from basketball.
Thank you, thank you firefighters for doing what you do and then for topping it off with a Christmas memory that will stay with me always!
