This is in response to Redmond City Council member Hank Myers’ guest column from Feb. 5. Myers claims that he wants to listen to what Redmond citizens want, but then dismisses the community’s input to push a pro-marijuana agenda. He dismisses the results of a public survey, ignores the community concerns expressed in public comments and ignores the hundreds of people that attended the planning commission’s public hearing. We’ve grown accustomed to this kind of deceitful double talk from our politicians in Washington, but it’s disappointing to see it so close to home.
