The City of Redmond invites you to celebrate the city’s acquisition of the Redmond section of the former Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Corridor and begin a visioning process for the Redmond Central Connector at a special event to be held Wednesday, Sept. 15.

The city is currently developing a master plan for the Redmond Central Connector that will develop a conceptual design for the future of the property. Your creative input is important to develop a plan that reflects community values. The community visioning event will be Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the old King County Shop Site at the northwest corner of Leary Way and Bear Creek Parkway, on the south side of the tracks from Half Price Books. The evening will include project history, project boards, live music by the Toy Boats, visioning at the “Park Bench” and light refreshments.

The Redmond Central Connector includes a 3.89 mile long linear corridor that extends from the east end of the Bear Creek Trail in Redmond Town Center to NE 124th Street. This place will build community through enhanced pedestrian and transit connections, personal interaction, and opportunities to engage businesses with customers. Redevelopment of this corridor will both redefine the heart of Redmond and respect Redmond’s history.
