MAPS in Redmond to host fundraising dinner for Syria tonight

The Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) at 17550 N.E. 67th Ct. in Redmond will host a Syrian Humanitarian Fundraising Dinner tonight from 6-9 p.m.

The Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) at 17550 N.E. 67th Ct. in Redmond will host a Syrian Humanitarian Fundraising Dinner tonight from 6-9 p.m.

Individual tickets for the event are $15 and tickets for families are $50.

The proceeds will go to Life USA for Relief and Development to help people in Syria who are protesting against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

According to its website, Life USA for Relief and Development is a nonprofit that is dedicated to “alleviating human suffering regardless of race, color, religion, or cultural background.” The organization works to provide humanitarian services such as health care and education as well as assistance for “victims of hunger, natural disasters, war, and other catastrophes.”
