Residents will have a chance to learn about and give input on the proposed new Rose Hill/Stella School Middle School at a May 19 open house from 6:30-8 p.m. at Rose Hill Junior High in Redmond.

The school is located at 13505 N.E. 75th St.

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) officials, the architect and City of Redmond planning officials will be available to provide information about the new proposed $49.2 million school, which is slated to begin construction next year on the southwest corner of the school property. Proposed designs will be set up for attendees to check out. They will be able to present any feedback — positive or negative — one-on-one with district and city officials. There are also feedback forms available to present input in writing.

“We have found that this format makes sense when there is no lengthy background presentation to provide,” said LWSD communications director Kathryn Reith. “This way, individuals can come and go when it is convenient for them.”
