Orange Blossom Society in Redmond, a social hub and enrichment center for families, will celebrate its two-year anniversary with an open house on Sept. 15 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Families with children ages 1 to 10 are welcome to drop in to tour the facility, meet instructors, play in the open play area and participate in sample classes. The event will offer light refreshments and a chance for children to participate in activities such as art, yoga or mini language classes.

Orange Blossom Society, which opened in September 2009, has been voted “Best of Redmond” in the Kids Activity category for 2010 and 2011 in the Redmond Reporter as well as “Best of 425” in the categories of Best Birthday Party Place, Best Kid-Friendly Destination and Best Family Friendly Activity in 425 Magazine for 2011.

“Having three children, Orange Blossom Society is a wonderful place where each child can have a special experience under one roof,” said Kristi Cosper an Orange Blossom Society member. “As a parent I appreciate the comfortable ‘living room’ with Wi-Fi and coffee. It’s been a refuge on many rainy days.”

The Orange Blossom Society’s facility is located at 16715 NE 79th St. and has recently created a larger space for group classes, added an additional art studio for toddlers and doubling the size of the outdoor children’s garden space.

“It’s really a gem in downtown Redmond,” said Sharman Ghio, founder and managing director. “The combination of indoor charm and outdoor space creates a really special place to work and play. I feel blessed to enjoy it with everyone.”
