The next First Friday Coffee Chat at the Redmond Senior Center at 8703 160th Ave. N.E. will be Sept. 2 and feature Jim Bove, community outreach facilitator for the Redmond Police Department.

The chat will be from 10 to 11 a.m.

Designed as an informal discussion and question and answer session, Bove will provide information about the private and public partnerships — including the media — the police use throughout the community to ensure their public safety message is heard. He will also give top crime prevention and safety tips.

Future guests scheduled for First Friday Coffee Chats are Joshua Heim, arts administrator (Oct. 7), Sandra Bettencourt, recreation division manager (Nov. 4) and Rebecca Borker, maintenance operations supervisor for the wastewater division (Dec. 2).
