Pushing Boundaries to hold first annual luncheon

Redmond-based Pushing Boundaries, Washington State’s only intensive exercise therapy center focused on regaining function in those who are paralyzed, will hold its first annual "Success Beyond Paralysis" luncheon from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

Redmond-based Pushing Boundaries, Washington State’s only intensive exercise therapy center focused on regaining function in those who are paralyzed, will hold its first annual “Success Beyond Paralysis” luncheon from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, May 7 at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

The funds raised during the event will benefit all of Pushing Boundaries’ programs and services that provide support to people with paralysis due to spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological injuries or illnesses.

Programs include client subsidy assistance, Lokomat robotic gait training therapy, new care giver development classes and expansion of local outreach services.

Barry Long, President of Talk & Roll Enterprises, motivational speaker and longtime supporter of Pushing Boundaries will be this year’s emcee. Long will present the program which includes video presentations and testimonials from past recipients of their programs and services.

Pushing Boundaries is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2005 to improve the lives and health of people with paralysis through a creative exercise therapy programs. The organization is supported by numerous volunteers and relies on continued involvement from the community. The public is welcome to this fundraiser. The luncheon is free to attend but there will be an opportunity to make a donation during the program.
