Redmond High honors nearly 500 graduates at KeyArena ceremony

Redmond High School (RHS) honored 492 graduates at Tuesday's commencement ceremony at KeyArena.

Redmond High School (RHS) honored 492 graduates at Tuesday’s commencement ceremony at KeyArena in Seattle.

RHS graduate Rebecca Ballantyne, a National Merit Finalist who will attend the University of Pennsylvania, was the student speaker at the ceremony and Taylor Stutz performed the national anthem.

RHS principal Jane Todd also spoke and both the RHS band and choir performed during the ceremony.

Ballantyne was one of 13 National Merit Finalists from RHS, which honored several scholarship and award winners at the commencement ceremony, including its two Washington Scholars Jihoon Lee and Sophia Xu. Both Lee and Xu were featured graduates in the June 8 edition of the Redmond Reporter.
