“We want to support positive youth development through our volunteerism, giving and education programs. Umpqua is very proud to see teens support their community and making a positive impact on other people’s lives,” stated Alana Ferrie, Umpqua Bank manager.

The reinvention of the Derby Queen is just one of the ways that the City of Redmond is intentionally driving community pride and spirit.

“Every year we would like more local engagement and activation,” stated Rachel Van Winkle, events and marketing administrator for the City of Redmond.

The recipient will appear in the Derby Days Grand Parade on July 9.

The application is available at http://redmondderbydays.com/communityraces, and the deadline is April 1.
