Wednesday, Jan. 20

Tree theft: Redmond Police responded to a theft report in the 14000 block of Northeast 85th Court. The reporting party said a maple tree was stolen from her back yard.

Inside job: An employee stole $520 from his employer’s cash register at a business in the 17600 block of Union Hill Road.

Alert the authorities: An employee activated a false alarm at his place of business in the 7400 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. A return of his name showed he had a local warrant.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

Easy access: Suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked in an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Avondale Road. CDs, an insurance card, vehicle registration, junk mail and wine were removed from the car.

Fraud: A reporting party said his credit card account had been used in an attempt to buy goods and services in California. The victim said the only time he had used his credit card in the last week was at Ruby’s Diner.

False friendship: Redmond Police talked to a local man who said his former friend, who lives in Massachusetts, used his Social Security number to open an account with a utility company. A report was taken, to document the information.

Unwelcome visitor: Redmond Police responded to an unknown problem at a hotel in the 7500 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. After contact with an employee, a customer was arrested for criminal trespass 1st degree.

Monday, Jan. 18

Broken windows: Redmond Police investigated the breaking of a car’s windshield in the 8900 block of 161st Avenue Northeast, as well as three broken windows at a doctor’s office in the 17100 block of Avondale Way and a car’s broken window in the 7000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Oily mess: A witness reported that he saw a man dump items from the back of his pickup truck onto a parking lot in the Bella Botega shopping center and that the man also poured oil all over the items before fleeing from the scene. No suspect information is available.

Sunday, Jan. 17

Car theft: Redmond Police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the 11400 block of Avondale Road. The victim’s vehicle was taken from her driveway in the night and later found by King County Sheriff’s Office.

Saturday, Jan. 16

Smash and grab: Unknown suspect(s) smashed open a rear window of a car in the 18600 block of Northeast 59th Court and removed several bags.

Graffiti: Redmond Police responded to a malicious mischief call at a business plaza in the 17100 block of Redmond Way.

Disturbance: A local male was crossing the roadway and impeding traffic in the 18500 block of Redmond Way. Charges will be filed through investigation.

DUI: Redmond Police arrested a Bellevue man in the 2300 block of 156th Avenue Northeast, as well as a Kirkland man at Northeast 57th Street and 147th Avenue Northeast, both during traffic stops for DUI.

Friday, Jan. 15

Theft: Redmond Police investigated the theft of an MP3 player and cash from a school in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street.

False alarm: Redmond Police responded to a juvenile problem between a mother and a daughter at a school in the 13500 block of Northeast 75th Street. No crimes were committed and the daughter was released to her mother.

Out of control: A Bothell woman was arrested for physical control while she was under the influence of drugs in the 5200 block of 187th Avenue Northeast.

Thursday, Jan. 14

On the prowl: Redmond Police investigated car prowls in the 18700 block of Northeast 59th Court, the 18500 block of Northeast 58th Court, the 11400 block of 176th Place Northeast, 10600 block of 183rd Court Northeast, 18600 block of Northeast 55th Way, 18600 block of Northeast 61st Court and 17900 block of Northeast 65th Street.

Bogus bill: Redmond Police responded to a report of a customer trying to buy goods with a counterfeit bill in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.
