The Redmond community has a long and impressive tradition of support for public library services. On Feb. 9, voters will have the opportunity to vote to sustain the

current service levels with Proposition 1 on the ballot.

Without the approval of Prop. 1, funding will not be sufficient to continue at current service levels resulting in cuts that will certainly be noticed at our Redmond Regional Library. King County Library System (KCLS) also has a local presence with the bookmobile and Redmond Ridge Express Library as well as other off-site services for special populations.

As a library volunteer, I can testify to the enthusiastic patronage of our community with their active presence and use of materials and facilities.

Now, the voters must act and vote YES on Prop 1 to ensure that our valuable resource is not diminished.
