Second bank robbery in Redmond in less than a week

The Bank of America on the 2200 block of Bel-Red Road in Redmond was robbed today, shortly after 11 a.m. The suspect entered the bank, demanded money and then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. There was no weapon implied and there were no injuries.

This is the second such bank robbery in Redmond in less than a week. U.S. Bank in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street was robbed in a similar fashion on Friday, Aug. 27.

At 5:41 p.m. on Aug. 27, police received a call that the suspect, described as an African-American with medium build and light facial hair, came into the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. There was no weapon used, but the suspect implied he had one. No one was injured.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left on foot, heading eastbound.
