Teenager arrested after allegedly robbing a schoolmate

A 15-year-old Kirkland boy was arrested for suspicion of robbery after he allegedly stole money from a fellow student last Friday afternoon.

A 15-year-old Kirkland boy was arrested for suspicion of robbery after he allegedly stole money from a fellow student last Friday afternoon.

The victim, a 14-year-old boy, was walking home from school at around 2:20 p.m. near the corner of Northeast 75th Street and 134th Avenue Northeast, according to police spokesman Jim Bove. The boy was approached by the suspect, who threatened to hit him and then twisted his arm before taking money from the boy’s pocket, Bove said.

Police questioned witnesses of the incident and arrested the suspect Tuesday morning, Bove said.
