The Washington State Patrol is looking to hire 60 trooper cadets and 24 commercial vehicle enforcement officers during the first few months of 2021.
The next Trooper Academy Class starts on July 12 and paid job-training opportunities across the state are available immediately, according to a State Patrol media release.

Sgt. Rob Ellis, head of the agency’s recruiting and testing unit, said after training and serving on the road an appropriate amount of time, troopers can become pilots, demolition experts, detectives, motorcycle specialists and serve on specialized units in cybercrime, executive protection, public relations and many other fields.
The State Patrol has more than 2,300 employees.
