Fly fishing class to be offered in July

Renowned Alaska Guide and outfitter Dick Lange will be teaching a fly fishing introduction class through the City of Woodinville Parks and Recreation department beginning on July 1.

The nine-week course, held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings at the Carol Edwards Center, 17401 133rd Ave NE in Woodinville, will introduce the students to entomology, habitat, knots, casting techniques, basic fly tying and stream reading.

The course also includes two field trips on the Sammamish river to practice newly acquired skills.

Cost is $39 for Woodinville residents and $44.85 for non-residents, and there is an additional fee of $15 for the course manual payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
