Katie Ulvestad, a 2010 Redmond High School graduate, recently placed fourth overall combined at the United States Collegiate Skiing Association (USCSA) National Championships in Sun Valley, Idaho.

She placed fourth in the Slalom and was named a first-team All-American in that event, and placed 11th in the Giant Slalom.

Ulvestad is currently a freshman at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. The St. Olaf’s women’s and men’s teams each placed fourth in the team competitions and won the President’s Cup trophy.
